Terrapex welcomes Roxana Khoshravesh, PhD to our Ecology Team as a Botanist.
Terrapex is very excited to welcome Roxana Khoshravesh, PhD to our Ecology Team as a Botanist. In this role, Roxana will be contributing to delivery of ecological studies, with a focus on the identification and preservation of rare and at-risk plants and plant communities across Ontario.
Roxana holds a B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Plant Systematics and has 15+ years of experience working in academia and industry. She has been a researcher at the Universities of Toronto and New Mexico and a Senior Research Scientist at Lancaster University (UK), and co-authored numerous academic papers.
As a professional, Roxana has experienced a full breadth of plant sciences working in the field as a field biologist, in the laboratory as a plant physiologist, and behind a monitor as a data analyst and technical writer in Iran, North America, and the UK. Parallel to her academic research, she has been a project manager and has worked in the industry as a Quality and Environmental management systems expert. She holds an honorary title of adjunct assistant professor at the University of New Mexico, is a former University of Toronto Botany Instructor, teaches at Seneca Polytechnic, and is a managing guest editor of the journal “Perspectives in Plant Systematics, Ecology, and Evolution”.
