Terrapex welcomes Thomas Yan to our team as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Terrapex is very pleased to welcome Thomas Yan to our team as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dalian University of Technology, China, and is a licenced Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

Thomas has over 20 years of Canadian experience (and an additional 16 years of experience in China) in geotechnical engineering, including projects related to transportation infrastructure, municipal infrastructure, residential subdivisions, commercial buildings, and slope stability assessments.

Thomas has been actively involved in and led geotechnical work programs for several large infrastructure projects in Ontario including the geotechnical investigation to support the Yonge North Subway Extension, geotechnical monitoring during construction of Vaughan Corporate Centre, geotechnical investigation to support the Union Station Rail Corridor East Track Enhancement project, and the construction inspection and geotechnical monitoring of East Rail Maintenance Facility in Whitby.
