Base Compensation

$58,000 to $68,000 per annum

Terrapex’s Toronto office has an opening for an Environmental Scientist or Technician to become part of our growing site investigation and remediation team.

Successful candidates will be involved as an early-career consultant in a variety of projects for the public and private sector.  Work will include conducting Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments, undertaking facility decommissioning and soil and groundwater remediation programs, conducting environmental management programs (including air, water, and soil vapour sampling), contributing to data interpretation and analysis, and preparing or assisting in preparing technical reports.

All work assignments require wearing personal protective equipment in adhering to Company and Client Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Candidates will need to have:

  • an undergraduate degree or college diploma in Environmental Science, Earth Science, Geology, or Engineering;
  • between two and five years of progressive experience in completing environmental site assessment and remediation work programs, or comparable experience in a related industry;
  • basic knowledge of earth science, geology, hydrogeology, and environmental chemistry
  • a vehicle and a valid driver’s license (Class G), as the position involves some travel within Ontario

Exceptional candidates lacking one or more of the above qualifications may also be considered.
