Liz Madden is a environmental consultant with over a decade of experience in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk management, and human health and ecological risk assessment. Since joining the industry in 2011, she has developed extensive expertise in evaluating and managing environmental impacts at brownfield sites under various regulatory frameworks.
As Manager of Risk Assessment at Terrapex, Liz leads the firm’s risk assessment business unit. She is responsible for setting technical standards, overseeing complex risk assessment projects, and supporting the growth and strategic direction of both the risk assessment group and broader environmental service line.
Liz has successfully completed or contributed to numerous risk assessments accepted by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP). She also regularly supports due diligence assessments for real estate developers, financial institutions, and government agencies. Liz also has experience as a peer reviewer for municipal clients.
Liz holds a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Queen’s University. Recognized by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks as a Qualified Person for Risk Assessment (QPRA), Liz is also a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario and Alberta and is Qualified Person in Ontario for submitting Records of Site Condition (QPESA).
