Presenting at SmartRemediation Conferences

Terrapex’s Paul H. Cheung and Jennifer O’Grady are presenting at this year’s SmartRemediation conferences in Toronto and Ottawa, respectively.  Paul and Jennifer are talking about 6PPD-q, an emerging contaminant that has been determined to have significant toxicity to certain fish species at the parts per trillion concentrations level (yes, trillions!).

6PPD-q is the quinone of 6p-phenylenediamine (6PPD), a common rubber antiozonant, particularly in vehicle tires.  Although 6PPD has been widely used since the 1960s, the transformation of 6PPD to 66PD-q was not actually recognized until 2020.
