Terrapex Celebrates Brownie Award Win for Galleria on the Park Project

Terrapex is proud to announce that the Galleria on the Park redevelopment has been recognized as Best Large Project at the 2025 Brownie Awards gala celebration hosted by Canadian Brownfields Network (CBN) and Site Media (formerly Actual Media). This prestigious award highlights innovation and excellence in brownfield redevelopment across Canada.

The Galleria on the Park project is a transformative initiative for Toronto’s Wallace-Emerson neighbourhood. The redevelopment will convert the former Galleria Mall site into a vibrant mixed-use community featuring:

  • More than 3,000 residential units
  • Expanded retail space, exceeding that of the original mall footprint
  • A modern community centre nearly twice the size of the existing facility, including
  • much-needed child care services
  • An 8-acre expansion of Wallace-Emerson Park, creating additional green space for the community

Occupancy of the first phase is already underway, marking a significant milestone in this ambitious project. Terrapex is honoured to have contributed environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeological consulting services to support this redevelopment.

Peter Sutton, our Vice President, Environmental Services, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the project team, which includes Almadev, Urban Strategies Inc., CORE Architects, Perkins & Will, and Terrapex.

We extend our congratulations to all the professionals and organizations whose expertise and collaboration made this achievement possible. Together, we are shaping sustainable communities and setting new standards for brownfield redevelopment in Canada.
